Museo delle Palafitte del Lago di Ledro during the year 2011 carried out surveys throughout the Ledro Valley within the project “Indagini su tracce di territorio. A report on population in Valle di Ledro” in collaboration with Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio of Trento and Rovereto and the University of Trento. The surveys led to the discovery of several sites belonging to different historical periods. The materials presented in the following article were found during the 2012 summer excavation at Pozza Lavino (Monte Tremalzo 1790 m a.s.l.), a pastureland at the southern side of the valley. The researchers collected lithics which can be dated from Mesolithic to Neolithic period. These findings proved valuable as, at the present time, there is little evidence of similar remains in the south-western area of Trentino.
