It is proposed a first update of Epigravettian human presence in the territories indicated. The latest reports of frequentations in the paleolithic at medium altitudes enrich the panorama of research. It identifies a system of articulated human occupations on the heads of the Val d’Astico and Val d’Assa, related essentially to the human presence of ancient lake basins, related to the current humid areas and bogs. The Prehistory Section of Museo Tridentino di Scienze Naturali has started in 1999 a research program in these locations with the start of archaeological excavations in the Cogola shelter (Carbonare), than starting in the year 2000 at the bog Palu Ecken (Folgaria).
