The Paleolithic frequentations of Malga Palù - Vezzene fit within a system of human occupations articulated mainly on the heads of Astico and Assa Valley, due primarily to the presence of ancient lakes related to the current wetlands and peat bogs. The evidence of Paleolithic frequentation expressed by the early occasional finds of 1997 and confirmed in 2010-2012 at Malga Palù, on the western edge of the wetland under the Vezzena Pass in a predominantly peat-bog deposit, outlines a framework with entirely news research prospects that include interesting issues related to the state of preservation of sites and to the vegetational and depositional history of ancient lakes.

Abstract
The Paleolithic frequentations of Malga Palù - Vezzene fit within a system of human occupations articulated mainly on the heads of Astico and Assa Valley, due primarily to the presence of ancient lakes related to the current wetlands and peat bogs. The evidence of Paleolithic frequentation expressed by the early occasional finds of 1997 and confirmed in 2010-2012 at Malga Palù, on the western edge of the wetland under the Vezzena Pass in a predominantly peat-bog deposit, outlines a framework with entirely news research prospects that include interesting issues related to the state of preservation of sites and to the vegetational and depositional history of ancient lakes.I documenti in IRIS sono protetti da copyright e tutti i diritti sono riservati, salvo diversa indicazione.
